HipHop/RnB style |
My magazine 'Off Beat' is similar to 'Billboard' magazine which consists many different genres. One of the main genres the magazine features is RnB.
My media product represents a particular social groups by using images that appeal to them, artists that they are interested in and information that will entertain them. In my magazine I have done this by using similar artists that I found out through my questionnaire that people wanted to see. I used specific images that are appropriate, eye catching and suitable for my music magazines audience. When wondering what information to include within my magazine I thought it would be best to have the information written in a simple context and made sure words were not to long as this can cause many teenager to instantly switch off and not read any more.
My artist Ryan Wain is a representative of young, white men who are similar to the South East London 'youth culture'. In the South the typical style is urban gangster I belive my magazine audience, young people aged between 16 to 24 would look up to Ryan Wain as he is relateable.
I also feel that Ryan Wain is representative to many other social groups as RnB is a popular genre of music. I have also used the clothes that my Artist wears to help attract my magazine to its right audience (HipHop/RnB). I have done this so the audience feel a sense of connection with the Artist. This could also entice people to buy the magazine.
