Throughout the process of constructing my music magazine I have learnt how to use Photoshop. This includes placing images, cutting images, editing text and creating the basic layout of my magazine. I enjoyed using the programme PhotoShop because it was different to all other programmes I have used in the past. I felt like a professional when I was able to edit photos and use affects on them to make sure they are suitable for my target audience. Although I do believe PhotoShop was a difficult programme to use it was easy to get to grips with once shown how to use the different tools.
I also enjoyed using the Canon 650 camera when capturing images for my music magazine. From taking these pictures with a range of different shots I was able to pick out the right ones that would feature in my magazine for example the mid shot of Ryan Wain was used as the main image on my front cover. Also by me using the focus on the camera it made it easier to edit my photos when cutting them out.
I also used a tripod to make sure my pictures were level and looked professional.
Overall I believe the journey through creating my magazine is something I am not going to forget as it taught me many new skills ranging from computer research to creating my final product on PhotoShop.
